Liam Andrew is 16 months old!!!!!!!!!

Happy 16 months, Baby Boy!

Here's 16 things we are just loving about you this month (plus one to grow on!!)

• You just love your brother.  You have to follow him everywhere he goes! When you see him you just light up because you are so excited to see him!
• YOU ARE WALKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally moments after I posted about your 15 month updates, you took your first steps!!! Now, not only are you walking, but you are climbing! You try to climb on EVERYTHING! We have really had to be on our toes watching you!! LOL You can officially climb onto the couch, your brother's bed, the end table, the kitchen table, and on momma & daddy's bed.  It is a full. time. job. watching you! ;)
• You LOVE playing outside in our sandbox!
• You insist on pointing to everyone's bellies.  And you have to lift up their shirts to do so.  Haha!
• You do not like grass.  Or kiddie pools with 3 and 4 year olds in them. :)
• You are a piglet.  You eat. And eat.  AND EAT.  It costs a small fortune to keep you satisfied! Your favorites right now are crackers, baby food pouches, chips, apple slices, and basically anything someone else is eating! :)
• You LOVE it when your daddy plays the guitar for you.
• You bust a move anytime you hear music.
• You believe the Cozy Coupe car is YOURS.  If your brother goes anywhere near your car, you flip out on him! We are working on sharing! ;)
• You will, however, share with momma and daddy! Especially your food.  You get a kick out of making us eat your food (even when its got baby slobbers on it!)
• You love your play kitchen.  You cook little meals and even pretend to eat them.  Momma has to pretend to eat them with you.  :)
• You are, first and foremost, momma's boy.  But as a close second, you are papaw's boy!
• You are a talker!!! You have been saying so much lately.  Today you pointed to daddy's truck and said tuck(truck) and then immediately pointed to the garage door and said door!  My baby is growing up so fast!  You say so many new things each and every day.
• I love asking you questions because your comprehension is unreal! I can ask you where people or objects are, and you always point to them with a big grin on your face like you know you are so smart! ;)
• If I make kissy sounds at you, you'll walk over and lean in to give me your forehead to kiss! LOL
• You are a nosy rosy!  Anytime I unload the dishwasher, put clothes in the washer, put things away in cabinets, or any type of chore, I have a little person on my heels "helping"! hahaha!
• You are without a doubt, the sweetest and smartest little 16 month old EVER! I know I'm a little biased because I'm your momma, but I just can't get enough of you!!! You are such a positive little light in our lives and we are beyond blessed to have you in our family! We can't wait to see all that you will do next!

Momma and Daddy

A first for us...

Well, a day I dreaded finally arrived. :(

We encountered our first broken bone!

This was only inevitable with two rambunctious boys, but it still makes a momma feel terrible! :(

Connor and Liam were enjoying watching Cars (the movie) while sitting on momma and daddy's bed.  This is a typical morning ritual that keeps two toddler boys occupied so momma and daddy can get ready.  The boys began to get restless and were beginning to get rambunctious.  Well, Daddy and I both happened to be standing pretty close to the bed and I think we realized at the same time that Liam was going to tumble off. :(  Well in our hurry to catch him, we bumped into each other instead and poor Liam hit the floor on his arm/shoulder.  He cried, of course, but it wasn't anything a little apple juice and goldfish crackers couldn't cure.  We checked him over really well, and nothing seemed tender, so we just agreed to keep an eye on him.

The next day was a follow-up appointment at the pediatrician's office for an ear infection that had been diagnosed earlier in the week.  My mom and I took Liam to the appointment.  Well, in the waiting room, I happened to notice a small bruise forming along his left collarbone.  Curious, I started touching it and he got SO MAD at me! He almost growled! Ha! Welp, that's about when all the color drained from my face and I KNEW it was broken.  TERRIBLE.MOMMA.MOMENT.  Sure enough, our sweet Dr. Kamber confirmed that it was indeed broken and we were sent home with this brace and orders to wear it for 6 weeks.

I felt HORRIBLE!

Fun Down on the Farm!

Uncle Andrew took sweet Connor to the farm for some fun in the sun with his cousins!

Fifteen (FAST) Months!!!

How is it possible that my sweet newborn is 15 months old?

I just LOVE this picture.

And BOY, are you on the move!!! You are cruising along and will be walking any day now!!!

BUT, you are on the move in so many other areas as well... your communication, social skills, problem solving, and much more! It is so exciting to see the new things you do day after day!!!  Here's a few of the things you've been up to...

• You are almost WALKING! You have been cruising for some time now, and are going to just take off running any day now, I can feel it! LOL
• You are OFFICIALLY OFF THE BOTTLE! Oh, my goodness, I thought this day would never come! You are such a big boy now!!
• You love to play with a toy ball! You like to throw it, kick it, carry it around...
• You are a bottomless pit.  You could literally eat all. day. long. if we let you! :)  You are becoming more and more independent with your ability to feed your self!
• You are trying so hard to feed yourself with a spoon! It is quite humorous!
• You are a helper! You are so observant.  If you see me do something one time, you mimic me trying to help out.  For example, I put my shoes under the couch so you wouldn't trip over them.  So, you went and got your shoes and put them under the couch too! lol
• You mimic everything!!! Talking on the phone, combing your hair, cooking in your kitchen, brushing your teeth.  If you see us do something, you have to do it too!! :)
• You are a talker!! It's mostly jibber jabber, but you are getting quite a few words! You very clearly ask for momma, daddy, and your ba-ba (sippy).  You've also started saying other words as well. Bar-bar (granola bar), baback (backpack), and many more!
• You know many things by name now.  You can point to your ears, nose, mouth, teeth, belly, and toes!  You know lots of objects too! Book, ball, blanket, paci, and much more! Such a smart boy!
• You love books! Your attention span for reading a whole book with momma and daddy isn't quite there yet, but you at least like the beginning of each book!! LOL
• You love cuddles and hugs! Thank goodness! You love to cuddle with momma and give lots of hugs! I LOVE IT! 
• You are a momma's boy! I love that too, especially since your brother is a big daddy's boy!
• You are really starting to show more and more independence.  You love to explore and are very much an "I'll do it" kind of kid! ;)
• You LOVE to be outside.  You are a big fan of the playground and our sandbox!
• You love to play back and forth games like peek-a-boo, hide and seek, or chase!
• You are the sweetest and most lovable 15 month old EVER!

* 3 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!*

My sweet Connor, it is your 3rd birthday! It it just so unbelievable to me that my sweet boy has been here for 3 whole years!! It seems as though it was yesterday that I held my sweet, cuddly, 10 pound, newborn baby in the delivery room.  You have absolutely changed my life in so many ways that I could never fully describe.  You are the greatest gift from God, and I can't wait to see all that he has in store for you, me, and our little family in the many, many years to come!

These are probably my two FAVORITE pictures of you and me during our hospital stay.  I'm sure it's obvious that I was absolutely smitten with you!!!! I just couldn't get enough! I literally didn't sleep at all the first 3 days because I just couldn't put you down! I loved feeling you breathe, smelling your sweet baby skin, and feeling your soft, velvet, baby hair!  I just could NOT get over how perfect you were in every way or how it was possible to love someone SO much that I had just met! :)

And now, here you are, my sweet, sweet 3 year old.  You are such a beautiful boy inside and out.  You are so intelligent, funny, lovable, challenging, entertaining, and mischievous all in one! Ha!!  Our little family would be so incomplete without you!

So, how do we celebrate 3 whole years??? Well, with a huge water slide, of course!!!  We celebrated with a close-knit family party, as we traditionally do.  To say you had a BLAST with your cousins, is an understatement!!! :)

Ryan has officially joined the "grown up" club! No participating in the water slide for this 18 year old! lol  He decided to "supervise" instead.

After everyone was thoroughly worn out on the water slide, we grilled out, visited, and then topped off the hot summer night with cake and ice cream! 

You were so funny, you kept saying, "That says Connor!! C-O-N-N-O-R!" lol!!

You LOVED it when we sang happy birthday to you!

Your party was nautical themed! Anchors, life preservers, crabs, and sail boats!!! Your shirt turned out soooo cute!
