Gobble Gobble!

My chunky little turkey...

Even though Mommy was sick with the flu, my little man had a great "first" Thanksgiving.  Bubby got to spend some quality time with Aunt Sarai, who was in from Chicago.  He also got to meet many of the Shackletts and Granachers (my mom's family) for the first time!

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I'd just like to say Thank you, Jesus, for the most precious of gifts this year - my baby boy.  I am beyond blessed to have him in my life.  I am the luckiest!

4 months!

My baby boy is offically four months old!  (Well, as of November 20th.  I'm a few days late with this post.) I can't believe how much my life has changed compared to 4 months ago, and I wouldn't trade one second of it!

Here's a little update on all the things my precious baby boy is doing at 4 months...

1.  At his four month check-up, my little chunker weighed in at 17 lbs. 13 oz. and was 27 inches long.  Yes, you read that correctly.  My four month old weighs almost 18 lbs!!!  Is that why my back hurts??? or is it the flu? hmmm.  So, my lil man has gained 7lb. 12 oz. since birth, and has grown 7 inches!  Momma's milk must be some good stuff!

2.  We decided to start Connor on baby food this month. Not that he needs it, lol, but we wanted to expose him to the great tastes of fruits and veggies!  First up: pears!

Let's do this Mommy!

First up: Pears!

Not so sure about this!

Let me help you, Mommy!

Pears are awesome!!!

3.  My 4 month old is sleeping through the night (on most nights)! Whoo hoo! I mean, we're talking about 8 pm to 6 am!  This is a great thing since we all know Mommy functions much better on a full night's sleep!  Occassionally, Bubby decides to get up in the middle of the night for some extra cuddle time! ;)

4.  Connor really isn't a fan of tummy time, but is usually a trooper for Mommy for about 10 minutes each night!  Despite our struggles with tummy time, my big boy has gained head control and quite a bit of trunk control!  Now, he loves to sit up like a big boy in his bumbo (Thanks Auntie Kristen!), but most of all, he LOVES his exersaucer!!!  I have to say, one of the best baby inventions EVER!  The funny thing is that the exersaucer has tons of toys to choose from, but he ALWAYS goes to the tiny giraffe!  Even if I rotate him to look at the toys on the other side, he will make his way back to the giraffe! lol ! Guess Mommy knows her Bubby... since his room is a giraffe theme and half of his clothes have giraffes on them! ;)

See my giraffe!  I get this look from Daddy, lol!

5. My bubby LOVES to talk and laugh!  He babbles, coos, giggles, and cackles!  He LOVES for daddy to speak Donald Duck to him!

6. We have recently discovered our toes!!!  He tries to get them to his mouth, but he's just a little too chunky for that! LOL

I'm determined to get those puppies!

7.  Lastly, my little Bubby thinks he is a big Bubby!  He doesn't like to be held like a newborn anymore.  He requires us to hold him sitting up and facing out so that he can be nosy and see all that's going on!  When he's not being held like a big boy, he likes to stand.  That's right, stand!  My Bubby has some strong legs to hold up 17 lbs! hehe!  He will even walk if you hold on to his arms!

I'll leave you with a few of my favorite shots from his four month pictures taken by Moments by Jennifer in Corydon, IN.  AMAZING!

Happy 4 months Connor!
Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back!

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Well, today is Connor's first turkey day.  Unfortunately, Mommy is in bed with the flu.  While Tamiflu is some great stuff, it has made it impossible for me to sleep!  Thus, the prefect time to start Connor's blog that I've been meaning to do for months! Hopefully this will keep me occupied... It has been torture trying to stay away from my bubby, but it will be worth it to keep him from getting the flu.  Besides, his daddy is doing a pretty good job of taking care of him! ;)

With that said...

 Welcome to Connor's Blog!

We want to share with you, our friends and family, pictures and events in Connor's life.  We hope you enjoy him as much as we do.

This blog is also for you, Connor: A virtual scrapbook of your life.
