At 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20th, my baby boy OFFICIALLY turned ONE YEAR OLD! I can't believe how fast this year has flown by! I remember the moment I first saw that precious face as if it was yesterday!

July 20th happens to be a very special day in our house because it is also Daddy's birthday! James turned the big 3-0 this year!!! I took the cutest picture of my birthday boys together, but unfortunately a few people tried to ruin our special day by breaking into our home and stealing from us. One of the things they took was our digital camera, which had many of my pictures of Connor for this post! :( So, we will make do with what pictures we have, and those who steal will answer to God on their judgement day.

Dear Connor,
You have absolutely been the most wonderful blessing from God! We can't express enough gratitude to him for allowing us to have you in our lives! Here are 12 things we want to remember about you at this age, Bubby, one thing for each month we've been blessed to have you!
1. You are almost walking!!! I can't believe it is already time for that! You stand on your own and take two or three steps at a time!!! You cruise along the furniture, and use anything as a walker. You have a walker toy that you love! You stand behind it and push it to where ever you want to go. You also have a train riding toy and a Cozy Coupe that you stand behind and push like they are walkers, LOL! Your cousin Laci was over and she was sitting in one of your walkers and you got behind it and pushed her around the house!!!
2. You took your first trip to the beach this month, and LOVED it! You loved the waves splashing on you and had so much fun in the pool! You had a great time playing in the sand with your cousin Laci Sue. You were a little unsure of the sand, but still had such a great time! Hopefully we get to go back soon!
3.You are absolutely a water baby! You love anything to do with water! This summer, you have enjoyed the swimming pool soooooooooooooo much! Here are some pictures of you loving pool time!
4. You are grumpy when you first wake up from your naps. You have to be cuddled for about 15 minutes before you decide you are ready to get down and play! LOL Momma doesn't mind the cuddles! ;)
5. Every time someone talks to you or asks you a question you put your pointer finger up to your mouth like you are really thinking hard about it. hehe!
6. You think the kitchen cabinets are AWESOME! They are like a playground to you. You work your way around to each cabinet and take everything out... pots and pans, Tupperware, cans of food, etc. You even sometimes try to eat uncooked macaroni, but Momma doesn't let you! LOL
7. You LOVE to read! Actually, you like to sit and look at books! You are sooooooooooooo cute when you do this! You turn each page and look very intently like you really are reading. You also LOVE to listen to Momma read you a story. Your absolute FAVORITE book is Baby Bear, Baby Bear.
8. You discovered Goldfish this month. If you could talk in sentences., you would probably say that it is, hands down, the best snack EVER!
9. Your favorite song at the moment is Rolling in the Deep, by Adelle, but you actually like the Glee Cast version the best! ;) How do we know it is your favorite? Well, whenever you are fussy because you are tired or teething, etc. I play that song for you on my cell phone, and you get really quiet and listen intently. Sometimes you even dance along! lol :) Momma loves this song too!
10. You officially have 8 teeth through the gums!!! The front four on top and the front four on the bottom!! We have even graduated from the "finger" brush to a toddler toothbrush and you LOVE to have your teeth brushed! :) Hopefully it stays this way! ;)
11. You LOVE your Cozy Coupe Car that Uncle Andrew, Aunt Jill, Mamaw, and Papaw got you for your birthday! You want to be pushed around in it all the time. You also love to stand behind it and push it around the house! :) I believe it has quickly become your new favorite toy!
12. You have very much become a Momma's boy this summer! We have gotten to spend so much time together (with Daddy too) and we have loved every minute of it! It is going to break Momma's heart to leave you when I go back to school in about a week and a half!!! :( But luckily, you are going to be in great hands!!! :)
Without a doubt, you have made this the BEST year of our lives, Bubby! We LOVE you soooooooooooooooooo much! HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUBBY!
