Is it weird that I get really excited about setting New Year's Resolutions each year?? Ha! I LOVE setting goals and checking them off. It brings that feeling of accomplishment. :) Love it! So, here are some of my resolutions for this year...
My #1 overall resolution is to make healthier choices for myself and my family.
How am I going to do that?
Well, for starters, this is what I had in mind:
Eat healthy foods.
Period. Cut out the junk, processed foods, and the sugar as much as possible.
Exercise.
Seriously. I CAN find 15 to 20 minutes a day to do SOMETHING that is a healthy choice for my body.
Cut the toxins out of our life as much as possible.
My close friends know that I'm a bit of a hippy, so this should come as no surprise. I'm in the process of cleaning up the things we put in and ON our bodies. This also means being careful about what we clean with. You'd be surprised how many toxins surround you in your daily life. It's just not healthy.
Focus on positive people and relationships.
Positive people and positive relationships lift you up and just put you in a good mood. They are very HEALTHY people to surround yourself with. I am going to try so hard to be one of those people as well. Those are the people I need in my life and my family's life. We don't have room for the rest.
Spend at least 30 minutes of quality time with each of my children individually, everyday.
They are without a doubt the MOST important part of my life. Yes, I give them lots of attention each day, but they need more. 30 minutes seems like a small goal, but 3o minutes of "unplugged, uninterrupted, one-on-one, my undivided attention on you" kind of time is priceless. I can't wait for all the fun we will have!
Re-instate date night.
My hubby needs attention too. Ha! "Our time" always seems to get pushed to the back burner. We need to schedule time alone and make ourselves go on date nights once a month. No excuses! Healthy marriage = happy life.
Set a budget and stick to it.
We are the world's worst at sticking to a budget. It's just time to make that work! A healthy wallet is vital to a healthy and happy home! ;)
I promise to check in every few weeks to let you know how it's going!
What are YOUR resolutions???
